Hello! I'm Kim.
My mission is to help you feel better in your body. Period. Whether that be through the strength, flexibility and balance you achieve through Pilates, or the lessening of chronic pain and improved stability you gain in MELT, I am here for you. Why not do both? Your body will thank you!

After a childhood in competitive gymnastics and earning a BFA in modern dance from the University of Utah, Kim Reis launched a dynamic career rooted in movement and artistry.
While living in New York City:
-
She danced with many dance companies including the acclaimed Mark Morris Dance Group.
-
She earned her Pilates certification under Romana Kryzanowska, a direct protégé of Joseph Pilates, and later under Bob Liekens of Power Pilates.
-
She taught at top studios and gyms throughout NYC including Equinox, NYSC, World Gym, and Sports Club L.A.
-
She expanded her training to anatomy and biomechanics with both Irene Dowd and Bob Liekens.
While living in San Francisco:
-
She performed with Flyaway Productions, an aerial arts group, as well as studied techniques on the flying trapeze.
-
She taught Pilates at top studios and gyms including dancers at The San Francisco Ballet.
-
She ran her first (and only) marathon.
While living in Portland:
-
She taught at local studios as well as partnering with the Portland Trailblazers to help prevent and rehab injuries.
-
She took some time to raise her two sons while becoming a Level 4 MELT Instructor under creator Sue Hitzmann, deepening her knowledge of fascia, self-care, and pain relief.
-
She placed her business online as COVID-19 reshaped how people connect, and offered flexible pricing rooted in her belief that self-care should be accessible, without judgment.
-
She became a featured instructor on both Pilatesolgy and MELT On Demand streaming platforms.
Today, she teaches to a global audience, offering compassionate, accessible, and highly personalized classes. Kim finds joy in helping people over 50 regain strength, balance, and confidence—especially those who thought they’d never feel this good again. Her teaching blends technical precision with warmth and encouragement, creating an environment where everybody is welcome and progress is always possible.
